Be the accountant
landlords find first.

From 6 April 2027 another million landlords and sole traders are brought into Making Tax Digital. Most won't ask a friend. They'll search Google, or ask ChatGPT, for an accountant near them. The practice that comes up gets the client.

Sound familiar?

Losing new clients to the practice down the road?

1

Not named by AI

A landlord asks ChatGPT which accountant to use. It names one practice and 25 others it couldn't describe.

2

Nothing about Making Tax Digital

21 of 30 Essex practices checked don't mention it anywhere on their website. The question every new client is asking.

3

Listings that disagree

One phone number on Google, another on the site, a third on a directory. The assistant hedges and names somebody else.

4

A site that says "we're friendly"

And nothing a machine can match to "accountant for landlords in Rayleigh".

5

Reviews on the wrong platform

Trustpilot full, Google empty, or the other way round. The assistant reads one of them.

6

No way to book

A contact form that goes nowhere at 10pm, when the landlord is actually looking.

The evidence

Checked across 16 Essex towns, October 2026.

HMRC figures from gov.uk. Practice and AI checks carried out by me across 16 Essex towns in October 2026. Four towns where the assistants would name no accountant at all when asked for one for landlords.

Questions before you order.

Why does this matter more for accountants now?

Making Tax Digital for Income Tax started for the first group in April 2026. The £30,000 group follows on 6 April 2027, about 1.08 million more people according to HMRC. Many don't have an accountant yet, and the ones who do are being asked to pay more. They are searching now.

Are you an accountant?

No. I help local firms get found and chosen. Your expertise is the product. My job is making sure the people looking for it find you.

Do you need my passwords?

No. You add me as a manager from your own Google account and remove me whenever you like.

Can I cancel?

If I haven't started the work, you get a full refund.
